Jim began his Physical Therapy career at Harbor-UCLA in Torrence in 1988. He and his wife moved to Thousand Oaks in 1990 to start a family. He has been a business owner since 1994. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he has been involved in community outreach programs providing Athletic Training and Physical Therapy services to the local High Schools and Community Colleges. Currently, he is involved with Pacifica High Football Team (State Champions 2019) and Oxnard High School. He was named "Volunteer of the Year 2020" by the Oxnard Chamber of Commerce. In 2000, he teamed up with over 30 Physical Therapists, Orthopedic Surgeons, and Occupational Therapists to write the book, Rehabilitation for the Postsurgical Orthopedic Patient.
He continues to be actively involved in the community. In 2001 and 2007, respectively, he helped develop the City of Oxnard Fire Department and City of Ventura Fire Department Wellness/Fitness Programs. In 2003, he began Wellness Counseling for the City of Oxnard Police Department and to date has met with over 400 active law enforcement personnel. He is also the Physical Therapist for Pierpont Racket Club in Ventura.
He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, California Chapter APTA. He has served on multiple committees within the Tri-Counties District. He is also a member of the National Athletic Training Association and Far West Region Athletic Trainers Association. He has worked with multiple companies in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties to decrease their risk of injury through work site instruction/consultation in exercises/stretches. He still lives in Thousand Oaks with his wife. His son received his Doctor of Physical Therapy from USC and is working at Advanced Physical Therapy in Thousand Oaks. His daughter is finishing up her Physician Assistant Residency at Grand Valley State in Michigan.
Austin Hunter, DPT
Austin received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology from Occidental
College. After graduating he then went on to Western University of Health Sciences
where he earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, was a member of the Kappa Eta
Honor Society, and met his beautiful wife!
Austin has focused on outpatient orthopedics and athletes starting his career in Orange County before moving to Ventura County in 2018. He has furthered his education by attending numerous continuing education course put on by leaders in the physical therapy community who specialize in soft tissue mobilization, functional mobility, neuromuscular re-education, and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization. In 2018 he became a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy.
In his free time, Austin enjoys broadening his horizons via travel and his stomach. His
hobbies include surfing, watching his favorite sports teams, and spending time with his loved ones.
Lauren Kremer, DPT
Lauren received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Mount St. Joseph University in her hometown Cincinnati, Ohio. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Community Nutrition from Miami University. Her professional interests include manual therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, and serving as a clinical instructor. Lauren is currently serving as the Vice Chairperson for the Tricounties District of the California Physical Therapy Association. Lauren also works locally at St. John's Regional Medical Center as an acute care physical therapist and rehab physical therapist.
Lauren enjoys many sports including running, basketball, and swimming. In her spare time, she can be found with her husband, Drew, and their two dogs at the beach or on a hike. Lauren and Drew are also passionate about exploring the world and learning about new cultures. They have been lucky to travel to 14 different countries together and share a goal of traveling to every continent.
Zack Bethel, PTA
Zack received his Physical Therapy Assistant degree from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California. He earned his Bachelor's of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion from the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming. Zack’s professional experience includes working in multiple outpatient settings treating patients with a variety of injuries.
As a former competitive swimmer, Zack enjoys swimming for fitness and occasionally competes in Masters swim meets. He currently resides in Ventura and enjoys spending time with his wife, Lesley, and newborn son, Benjamin.
